Job description
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in software development or technical consulting services
This role is onsite in our Philadelphia office. This is not a remote role.
Curotec is a growing Philadelphia-based software and AI services firm with a global team size of 130 people. After more than a decade of growth, we're focused on building the operational foundation that takes us to the next level as a company with a stickier value proposition, deeper client partnerships, and a team built to scale.
Our clients are engineering-led organizations. The person in this role needs to speak their language, not just manage the relationship.
This hire is foundational. You'll own the client relationship layer across our staffing business, rebuild the account management function from the ground up, and eventually lead the team that scales it. You'll report directly to the CEO, which means real visibility and real influence over how this company grows.
This role is for you if you've spent years managing complex client books in tech or staffing services, have an ownership mindset, and want your work to directly shape the company.
What You'll Do
Own the Client Relationship: Many of your clients will be CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and technical leads. You'll need to understand their priorities at a level beyond project status, including roadmap decisions, team structure, build vs. buy trade-offs, and the operational pressures that drive their outsourcing decisions.
Drive Retention and Growth: Client retention is the foundation of everything here. You'll track health indicators across your book, identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, and partner with the sales team when new clients are ready to transition into longer-term engagements.
Support the Consulting Team: Our consultants are embedded with clients day-to-day. You'll make sure they're set up to do their best work, which means checking in regularly, staying ahead of performance issues, and collaborating with HR when something needs to change. A consultant who's engaged and well-supported is one of the strongest retention tools we have.
Build the Infrastructure: You're inheriting a client base, not a finished process. You'll design the systems, tools, and reporting structures that scale account management as we grow: client health dashboards, satisfaction frameworks, time and billing oversight, and onboarding playbooks for future hires. This is a build job.
Set the Standard for the Team That Follows: As Curotec grows, this function grows with it. You'll lay the groundwork for hiring and developing an account management team: defining what good looks like, building onboarding materials, and establishing the career path for people coming behind you.

What We're Looking For

Solid understanding of technology consulting models and how mid-market companies engage technology partners
Comfort talking through software development practices and technology decisions with technical stakeholders
Experience with CRM tools, specifically HubSpot
Experience in building and implementing internal processes and then owning the result
Strong communication and relationship instincts: you know when to push and when to listen
A builder's mindset: you'd rather design the system than wait for someone else to hand it to you
