Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who can lead software development projects, manage client relationships, and connect technology decisions to business outcomes.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping shape technology strategies, validate product assumptions, define priorities, and translate business needs into actionable development work.

The ideal candidate has strong account management skills, a solid understanding of software development, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with project execution.

You’ll work closely with developers and designers while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and taking ownership of overall project success.

Responsibilities

  • Own client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the engagement.

  • Help clients shape product vision, validate assumptions, and align technology decisions with business goals.

  • Support project scoping and SOW development before engagements begin, then lead projects through delivery.

  • Develop project strategies, scopes, budgets, timelines, and delivery plans.

  • Balance technical feasibility, business value, client priorities, and project constraints.

  • Identify risks and potential roadblocks early and develop mitigation plans.

  • Lead scope-change and change-order discussions with clients while protecting project timelines, budgets, and business objectives.

  • Translate business needs into clear project requirements, priorities, and actionable development work.

  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure alignment across clients, developers, designers, and other stakeholders.

  • Track project financials, resource utilization, margin, and overall project health.

  • Exercise independent judgment in resolving project issues and escalate when appropriate.

  • Support business development efforts through project scoping, estimates, and proposals.

  • Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for continued engagement.

Job requirements

  • 6+ years of Project Management experience, ideally within a software agency or consulting environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and complex software development projects.

  • Strong understanding of software development processes and experience working closely with developers and designers.

  • Experience participating in discussions around architecture trade-offs, scalability, technical feasibility, and risk.

  • Experience helping scope projects and develop SOWs or similar project agreements.

  • Experience managing scope changes and client expectations while protecting project timelines and budgets.

  • In-depth experience with a project management system is required, such as ClickUp (preferred) or Jira.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Personal Competencies

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong client and account management capabilities.

  • Ability to translate business goals into phased roadmaps and prioritize work based on value, effort, and risk.

  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and recommending alternative approaches when appropriate.

  • Strong judgment and the ability to identify early signs of scope creep, misalignment, or delivery risk.

  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how project decisions affect budgets, resources, and profitability.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively leading cross-functional teams.
